Steel tree artwork, an Intrinsic Love for The Craft
Gabe Ciochon was born and raised in California, attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and followed a passion for aviation into a career as an airline pilot. This career that has taken him to many destinations in North America. Gabe found his artistic passion in metalwork almost by accident with a simple request from his mother. She asked for a tree, but not just any tree, a steel tree that could be displayed indoors.
Gabe sculpts his steel tree artwork inspired by the beauty and flowing motion in Mother Nature’s trees. His passion comes from sculpting and manipulating solid steel into a representation of trees. He enjoys experimenting with different types and sizes of trees. With the addition of different types of patinas, Gabe is free to explore depth and feel of each piece, making them unique.
